The following contains plot details from "Nezha" (2019). If you plan to watch the first movie, we recommend reading this after viewing it. However, if you're planning to watch Part 2 directly, this summary will help you better understand the story.

The Origin

In Chinese mythology, the Primordial Lord (Yuan Shi Tian Zun), one of the most powerful deities, split a primordial pearl into two opposing forces: the Spirit Pearl of good and the Demon Orb of evil. Nezha, who was destined to be reborn from the Spirit Pearl, was instead born from the Demon Orb due to the treacherous Shen Gong Bao's interference, seemingly fated to become a demon king. However, Nezha's parents, the guardians of Chentangguan, Lord and Lady Li—refused to abandon him. Under the guidance of the virtuous immortal Tai Yi Zhen Ren, they hoped would learn to use his powers for good.

Unexpected Friendship

Despite these efforts, the rebellious Nezha struggled to gain acceptance from the townspeople. During this time, he befriended Ao Bing, the Dragon King's third son, and these two lonely souls became each other's only true friend. Facing both public misconception and an impending catastrophe, the demon-born boy refused to submit to his predetermined fate. Eventually, Nezha defied destiny through his own choices and courage, sacrificing his physical form to save Chentangguan and earning everyone's recognition in the process.

The New Adventure

"Nezha 2" continues the legend, following Nezha's new adventures after Tai Yi Zhen Ren helps him reconstruct his physical body.
